Wine tasting in the Wine Cellar of the Fried Estate:



What could base a better atmosphere than tasting fine wines in a truly authentic environment? In the own wine cellar of the estate guests can taste castle wines aged in oak barrels, all self made by our professional winemakers. During the event, the wines are served unlimitedly with a typical Hungarian snack: slices of bread spread with lard and red onions. During the program the participants will visit the several hundred year old wine cellar, which also functions as a museum. In the well-preserved wine cellar everyone can get familiar with the traditional wine making equipment.

Traditional pig slaughter:



Pig slaughtering - usually organized late autumn or early winter - has a significant tradition in Eastern Europe. Our event takes place at the Panorama Wine Terrace, where we start our day with a Hungarian tradition: everyone must drink a shot of „pálinka” in order to gain strength to work. Then the guests continue with processing the pig together with a butcher, who presents the secrets of Simontornya’s cuisine, passed from father to son. After the well-deserved lunch, guests can taste wines.

Gastronomy programmes:



The location for this program is the Panorama Wine Terrace, situated on the hillside next to the Wine Cellar. The guests can enjoy the Hungarian specialities, prepared by the chef in front of them, while admiring the beautiful view of the landscape. As regards the drinks, during the program our hotel offers unrestricted wine and soft drink consumption.
